This is a simple yet effective program. Its purpose is to determine the degree and quality of an individual's hearing capabilities.

This program tries to avoid the subjective manner in determining someone's tone distinguishing abilities. These abilities are displayed as how well they can sing notes, and whether or not they recognize certain notes. But, these abilities are also separated by individuals who can hear tones exceptionally well, yet cannot sing well.

Hearing Test & Exercise works in the following method:
1) The software plays a tone.
2) The user is presented with 5 other different tones of which they must choose one that is similar to the first tone played.
3) The 5 different tones are of similar tone, but sound as though someone who is tone deaf is singing them.

This software can be used as a hearing practice tool -- It alerts the subconscious of the subtle differences between tones and enhances the precision of hearing.

You can customize Hearing Test & Exercise is two ways: Altering the number of tasks and difficulty. You can also easily track the results of many different users, or track the hearing progress of a single user in the log file.
